If an update is available then I suggest that you download and install it first. This will minimize the possibility of the problem being caused by an outdated software version. There will be certain areas where your carrier will not have any reception. To verify if this is a coverage related issue you should check if your phone has a strong network signal. You should also check if other devices under the same network are also having the same problem in your immediate vicinity.
This problem can usually be caused by temporary data stored in the phone that has become corrupted. This can be done by restarting the phone which should eliminate any corrupt temporary data in the device. This step will also reset the phone connection to the network which can help fix the problem.

But that is true everywhere at every level. I was really hoping for Samsung to step their game up on the Photography Granularity side but instead they end up limiting Pro mode to the main lens. Fucking kills me. My god, this video praising the V50 gave me PTSD flashbacks of the great promises that the V20 once held, I recall so many articles waxing poetic about the V20 and its "pro-sumer" qualities, etc.
Owning the V20 was probably simultaneously my "best" and worst experience I've ever had with any phone, ever. I am truly sorry you have been hurt by the V20 as well. We need a V20 owners and former-owners support group. It's eerie how similar my experience has been. A love-hate relation that I'm still probably stockholm syndroming through.
I don't think this youtuber has used any LG phone as his primary for any reasonably long period of time, to understand our annoyance, and yet he'd probably be responsible for so many people ending up with a phone they'd regret. That's the term I liked to use, Stockholm syndrome lol I constantly felt the internal need to justify to myself that it's a good phone..
I had the v20 too. Loved it like you but had stupid annoying things to deal with because LG. Fucking camera screen class cracked randomly for me like lots of other people. Fixed it myself with a kit off amazon, but was a pain in the ass to have to deal with. Never had any other phone have that problem. And yea My galaxy s5 took much better pictures. And here I am waiting for the V50 to arrive at my door I absolutely hate LG UX.
It's one of the worst Android skins out there. It looks like those stickers they put on screens of those toy phones for kids. And the settings menu is just dumb. The main issue is their default home screen. Their settings is great, and notifications etc have never been an issue. Googles newer designs are much more fsher price comparatively, especially pie and on. Phone came out in late , I bought it in I finally got rid of the phone in July this year No security updates in between, at all. LG is simply unrivaled with their lack of software support.
Which model did you get? US, US Unlocked. Can't even blame the shitty carrier s lol. It's the same with the international unlocked Hds. One update, and the phone is still sinfully slow! Wonder if this one will actually be sold anywhere? The last few V phones have never made it to Europe.
Seems too good to be true for the price. One month in and everything is working wonderfully. I want to get a LG V series. Every single time I've heard about it since the v10, I'm super interested. And I loved the ergonomics of the g6, easily the best since the early moto days.
It's like they're actually trying to compete but making sure they take it down a notch so they're not competing- it makes no sense and it's maddening to every singe LG owner. I just personally can't anymore with LG. Fool me twice, shame on me. I have to say though, used LGs resale value are so low, I would say they make excellent deals if you want to pick one up. Yes, I do miss the headphone jack with the Huawei, but I've been using bluetooth. Excited to watch this.
I've been puzzled for a while that no one mentions this phone. It's overpriced, but otherwise seems really good. LG offers bootloader unlocking for the V50 in the UK but not in other places. Also, no TWRP build is available yet. This argument of unlocked bootloaders seems pointless to me regarding phones aimed at the US market. The overwhelming majority of devices don't offer this. And generally never have and as far as I can tell never will. It's unfortunate, but that's just how it is.
I personally don't see that ever changing, especially as long as people continue buying phones from carriers. Brands can grow organically when they have a niche to fill.
LG has no niche, they've killed any goodwill they had in the greater community. If they want to have a base to build upon, they need to make a choice. Being an enthusiast phone gives you a place to start, something reliable to bank on. I'm not entirely convinced it is overpriced. Even before we consider the fact lg are often heavily discounted, this phone has a lot of features not every 1k device has.
Weather they are worth it to you is for you to decide but I don't think that's asking too much these days for what is undeniably a premium device. My v30 is still on oreo.
Getting to know your LG V50 ThinQ | LG USA Support
This wouldn't stop me from buying one. I've concluded updates really aren't that important. I have absolutely no interest in that shitty half baked gesture system. Glad to skip the latest iteration. I agree. Android gets worse and worse. Not interested in the OS anymore.
Choose The Best Phone Trackers
I look at it like Microsoft Windows: How bad is it this time Litterally nothing but disappointment for the last few years. It's not as bad as iOS - yet. But it's not at all enjoyable anymore, either.
